Niobrara Naturals is located in the heart of Missouri on our homestead in the country where we handcraft all of our natural skincare products, as well as our soy candles. The atmosphere in its beautiful simplicity inspires us to create timeless crafts and utilize the skills of yesteryear with the technology and materials of today.
Creating all natural skincare products that do not contain synthetic and harmful chemicals is something that is a passion of ours. It all began when I (Sarah) developed eczema on my hands. Visits to the dermatologist and using various recommended lotions and creams didn’t help. In desperation, I began researching and long story short, began making goat milk soap for my personal use. The result was more than I had hoped for . . . not only did my eczema go away, I had found a craft that I loved.
The story doesn’t stop there . . . my husband Zach could not use any commercial deodorant without significant skin reactions. It was with relief that our all natural deodorant, which went through rigorous development and testing, worked very well for him without any reaction. For several of our children who have different allergies that affect their skin, the body butter is a necessary moisturizer working effectively to bring them relief.
As you can see, our family business is personal . . . each of the products we make, our family loves, uses, and also needs. We then have the satisfaction and joy of bringing these 100% natural skincare products into your lives and homes as well as our soy candles and wax melts.
Knowing that what we breathe is just as important as what is absorbed into our skin, we handcraft candles from 100% natural soy wax and cotton wicks (no lead!), and worked hard to find candle scents that we knew would be good for you, our customers, but also that we feel completely comfortable burning in our own family’s home. All of our candle and wax melt scents are free of phthalates, parabens, carcinogens, everything on California’s prop 65 list, mutagens, and other toxins. They are also infused with natural essential oils.
Each product we offer here for you and your family is carefully and precisely developed and is handcrafted by us to a high standard of quality. You can use each one of them confidently, knowing that you will love them! And that they are good, safe, and beneficial for you.
Who we are . . . Zach and Sarah – valuing our family, our faith, country living on our homestead with our five children, and crafting with our hands.
In addition to sharing our products here, we are part of the large, year-round, Columbia Farmers Market which we very much enjoy doing together as a family. With thousands of customers coming through on Saturdays, mornings there are busy, yet there is always time for visiting with those who stop by our booth.
Hearing that the soap they bought helped relieve their dry skin or a skin condition like eczema . . . or that after trying many natural deodorants with no success, they now have one that works very well for them . . . or that friends and family whom they gave the products to love them . . . inspires all the more.
That connection with customers is wonderful, and while this online world is not quite the same as ‘face to face’, we value you as a customer and desire to provide you with quality products that meet your needs and that you and your family (and your skin!) will love.
